M5 and Derby Fog what a blend !

I have been away from the Fog Blog for a week or so as I have been searching the length and breadth of the M5 from Junction 4 to 31 for the hard shoulder cumulous Fog called Hard as nails 5 Fog. I was just coming to Junction 4 (Northbound) when I saw a wisp of Fog creeping across the lane from the central reservation to the hard shoulder. When all of a sudden Sponge Boy called me on the mobile and scared the Fog away - Most upsetting.

However all was not lost today as a very good friend had heard of my run in with Sponge boy and sent me a rather nice shot from her back window in Derby of the common High Dot Monoglobula Fog.

So until the next Blog keep Fogging

(Watch out Sponge Boy - your card is marked)

VW T2 Exhaust Fog - Approach with Extreme Care

The Smurf Turd in all his Glory

Well we have decided to get good old T2 VW Smurf Turd back on the road for the annual Summer vacation in Cornwall. In fact this time, he may actually stay in Corrnwall and rust twice as quickly !

Cayte (my wife) will be looking to use him to transport her craft work / Spinning wheels and general clutter that she drags round with her to numerous festivals, craft fairs and car boot sales. When the Smurf is not carrying out these duties he will be my vehicle of choice to nip down to the beach for a spot of surfing - I can then get changed easily in the back and have a cup of tea at the same time.

You may be thinking by now what has this got to do with Fog - well it was earlier this week, when I noticed that we had to get the Smurf Taxed and MOT'd before his long journey down the M5 / A30 (so if you see him on the hard shoulder in July - please wave....!) On starting him up for the first time since last Summer I heard a spluttering from the Exhaust and this is what came out......? VW T2 Engine FOG - only seen previously at Outermotive VW garage in Hereford !

This Fog was extra thick and drifted very slowly into the distance - not sure of its location, but I would approach with extreme caution.

For those that have recently joined or viewed the Blog the Smurf Turd may be making an un announced visit to a Cereal Bar factory in South Wales in the near future....!

Until then keep fogging.

Home made Fog !

I have learnt something new this weekend, my wife makes Fog........! We had to wash and dry a sheep fleece ready for spinning and after she had worked her magic on it - hay presto shes made Fog. Then she proceeded to spin it onto her new Fog spinning Spindle called Big Bertha....?

So thank God and Fog for Big Bertha.

Keep Foggin

On the hunt for the very rare Garage Fog

Today I decided to go on the hunt for a very rare and very mis understood Fog called Garage Fog. This Fog is very shy and has only been spotted twice since Marijuana was reclassified to Class B !

This Fog collects in very specific conditions:

Firstly the garage has to be full of a mixture of  give aways, E Bay items, car boot, dam right Junk (only good for the Skip) and stuff to keep. Only to store it again for another 12 months before finally throwing it away.

Well I have found such a location ....its our double garage. It contains the contents of 3 of our previous houses and 3 motor homes plus my late parent in laws tools and a close friends bathroom tiles and recently the addition of my brother in laws Mazda..! Which you cannot actually see in this picture as its totally hidden, but not by Fog !

Just so you get a real flavour of the habitat this Fog likes I thought I would show you a close up.

The Ideal habitat of Garage Fog
Well after 20 minutes of scrambling around in the garage I failed to find any trace of this special fog. So until the next time - Keep Foggin

Wales Wales oh beautiful Foggy Wales

After a dry spell of Fog I was pleasantly surprised when driving to Newport (Wales)  this morning and was confronted with FOG on the hill tops. What a site, beautiful Welsh Fog ahhhhhhh!

I quickly took this picture (hands free) using my specially adapted FOG CAM  that I have had installed on the bonnet of my VW.

This device also confirms if the FOG is real Fog or a nasty imposter called MIST.

Please keep Foggy spotting.

Blatant disregard for Fog

The Fog today decided to stay away from Wingletang (Praa Sands, Cornwall) , we even travelled up the A30 through Bodmin which is notorious for its Fog but not a drop in site. We even returned to our part time home up in Kinver and sat around our ornamental  pond hoping to see a slight wisper of fog, but nothing ! Well tomorrow is another day.

Kinver Pond - No FOG !

While I am on the subject of Fog, we had some visitors last week who arrived on Wednesday 27th when we were all fogged out (it was fab) we couldn't even see the beach, all you could hear were the waves...? however when they left (today) i noticed a really sickening sight. It was so discusting I was almost sick ! They had space for Fog lights on their car,  but they had removed them...! They know how passionate I am about Fog and I cannot believe they would turn upon our doorstep with such a blatant disregard for Fog...?

I am not sure if I should invite them down again, well at least until they have either fitted appropriate rated Fog lights or employed a Fog Walker to walk out in front of the car when travelling in Fog.

The Fog Walker

So until the next Blog be safe and keep Fogg spotting.

First Fog Blog

Well today is a good day, but not for Fog!

However if you squint slightly there seems to be a a small formation of Mushroom Fog just appearing over the distant headland. Mushroom Fog is particularly nasty as it repeats on you the next day..!

So until the next Fog blog - happy Fogging !
